FALL WINTER 2021 CAMPAIGN
CHANGE IS TO EVOLVE
PEDRO kickstarts with Fall Winter 21 Campaign – showcasing the growth while going through the process of change, producing dynamic designs, created to empower confidence to discerning individuals.
It visualises how pandemic is changing fashion following the journey of protagonists, Kai Gin and Ding Wei, who venture into a modern industrial space. Stepping into a new dimension, the change of wardrobe showcases the transition of versatility in style for this season.
Film Director Choānn
Inspired by the monolith in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, Choānn wanted to design a visual experience as seen through the perspective of a mysterious booth, that harbours its own sense of discernment and consciousness. Through the video, he wished to convey that change is something beyond one’s control, and instead of fearing the unknown, take courage to embrace the unpredictability of life.
Photographer Joel Low
Supplementing the video, are dynamic, fresh images that were conceptualised and captured by the highly sought-after photographer, Joel Low. He wanted to portray a modern, relatable couple with a hint of rebelliousness, someone whom people in the present day can understand.
Models Kai Gin Yong & Ding Wei
Kaigin Yong is a Singaporean international fashion model who was seen walking for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Maison Margiela, Lemaire, and more. Through embracing the changes and challenges thrown at her, Kaigin is now arguably Singapore’s most successful model and will continue to rise.
Accompanying Kaigin, Ding Wei is a fresh newcomer in his modelling career who just graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). The up-and-coming talent was the winner of Men’s Folio Model Of The Year 2020, and has worked with brands like In Good Company, Grayestudio, and PEDRO’s FW21 campaign is honoured to be the biggest project he’s worked on by far.
Inspired by the arts when it comes to creating coveted shoes and bags for women. An alluring range of sculptural and feminine pieces with others that reference utilitarianism. Joining that range are the understated workwear- inspired pieces that are functional, classy and elegant.
